P312 (Phoobsering 312) is a Darjeeling vegetative clone of the China-bush type, named for the Phoobsering tea estate. It is one of the most admired Darjeeling clonals for cup quality.
Its infusion is known for a rich medley of chocolate, toffee and berry layered over a distinctive Burgundy-like muscatel twist — the prized 'muscatel' character of fine Darjeeling taken to an unusually deep, complex expression. P312 lots, especially clonal first and second flush, are sought after by Darjeeling connoisseurs.
